Who Are Our Alumni?

Our students graduate with a strong commitment to their new professions. Many also retain close ties to the department in order to forge professional relationships, continue their education, and reconnect to college life.  NC State engineering degrees helped our alums find employment, but not just for themselves. They also hire our graduates and provide opportunities that expose our students to the profession.

We have many alumni whose children, and children’s children come to NC State, knowing that we provide some of the best education programs available. We excel in preparing students for the workplace – our alumni, including those who have been selected as Distinguished Engineering Alumni, are living proof. 

We are grateful to MAE alumni who continue this beneficial cycle of academic and professional success. We keep up with their news, accomplishments, awards, recognitions and more, and share these developments through our website, social media, and our annual departmental magazine: The MAETRIX

Providing support enhances our department and student activities.

Enhancement
These funds support seminars, student and faculty recruiting, undergraduate research, recognitions of excellence, public relations and alumni engagement.

Student Activities
These funds support student activities, such as, student groups that participate in regional/national competitions, AE and ME senior design, and student presentations at professional meetings.

MAE Alumni Hall of Fame and Advisory Board Members

The MAE Alumni Hall of Fame was established to inspire our current students and to celebrate accomplishments of those extraordinary graduates who have used their education to excel in a profession, career or service. The nomination is based on professional and service achievement, entrepreneurship and contributions to professional societies.
