We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong diversity skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment to join our Wilmington office on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
∙ Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems, rotating and static equipment and polymerization reactors.
∙ Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems.
∙ Experience using CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
∙ Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
∙ Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
∙ Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
∙ Core base knowledge of ASME pressure vessel code and required calculations.
∙ Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements.
∙ Evaluate final designs overall quality, reliability, and safety. ∙ Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate problems and fatigue.
∙ Estimate budget and scope of project.
∙ Solicit observations from clients operating plants.
∙ Prepare product reports and documentation.
∙ Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods.
Requirements
∙ Willing to pursue obtaining a PE license.
∙ Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
∙ Creativity and analytical skills
∙ Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.
∙ Technical writing skills
∙ BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering minimum
∙ Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) ∙ Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) ∙ Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor or other)
∙ Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, or similar)
∙ Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (PV Elite, Excel, etc)
∙ Excellent prioritization and project development skills
