Dr. John W. McCulloch, BSAE 1965, MSME 1967, PhDME 1969
Dr. John W. McCulloch received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from NC State University in 1965 and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 1967 and 1969 respectively. Dr. McCulloch went to work for Bell Labs as an engineer in various programs including the first commercial satellite system for the United States and various leading edge communications systems for the U.S. Military. After moving into management in the mid-70s, he led teams in total system integration and project management for worldwide communications applications. He was appointed as Vice President of Integrated Solutions for Lucent Technologies in mid-1980s and in that role, managed a world-wide workforce for communications solutions. Dr. McCulloch retired in 1998 and engaged in management consulting for six more years.
