Women’s History Month at MAE: Susan Uy

Continuing with our Women’s History Month celebration of the awesome ladies at MAE, next up is Graduate Programs Coordinator Susan Uy.

Susan provides graduate student support and tackles a wide range of responsibilities at our MAE Graduate Office. Susan processes research appointments, reviews GSSP, updates registration, confirms graduation requirements, and much more. Although originally a Tarheel with a Poli-Sci degree, she came over to the Pack-side and earned a Chemistry degree while working at ABB on Centennial Campus. (ABB was one of the first partners to take up residence on Centennial Campus).

During her time at ABB, she took a 6 month “sabbatical,” sold all her possessions, and funded a back-packing trip around the world travelling by planes, trains, automobiles, ferries and foot. Her favorite places are Nepal and New Zealand!
