Women’s History Month at MAE: Cheryl Tran

March is Women’s History Month, and over the next couple weeks, we want to celebrate the amazing women that Think and Do at MAE.

First up we have Cheryl Tran! Cheryl is a Lecturer and the Director of Undergraduate Advising. Cheryl’s long-term goal as an educator is to teach material in a way students will better understand and retain, and as an advisor, she aims to help students find information to make informed decisions that helps them succeed in their studies and careers. She is an invaluable asset to our undergraduate students and to the MAE department as a whole!

Outside of work Cheryl enjoys cooking and baking, and she likes to collect recipes. Her favorite way to unwind is by reading a cozy mystery and having a glass of wine. During her college years, she was a huge J.R.R.Tolkien fan and considered learning Elvish as a second language.
