Congratulations to Dr. Marie Muller, who at the recent 2019 International Congress on Ultrasonics in Belgium, was awarded the ICU Early Career Award (the “Silver Whistle Award”) for her outstanding contributions to the promotion of the ultrasound world community.
The ICU Early Career Award is presented to an individual who is relatively early in his/her professional career (about 10-15 years of active career), has been active in the affairs of Ultrasound through his/her National Society, other National Societies, and/or Regional or International organizations, and has contributed substantially, through published papers, to the advancement of theoretical or applied ultrasound or both.
The Award consists of an honorarium, the amount of which to be determined by the ICU Board, an Award Certificate, and a Silver Whistle. The whistle is a silver-colored tri-tone Samba whistle with a strong overtone spectrum in the ultrasonic frequency range. The whistle symbolizes leadership in ultrasound.
