Women’s History Month at MAE: Savanah Alberts

Continuing with our Women’s History Month celebration of the awesome ladies at MAE, next up is Contract and Grants Manager Savanah Alberts!

Savanah is originally from West Virginia, and is a proud alumna of West Virginia University. She spent a year abroad as a Fulbright Scholar in Senegal after graduation, after which she lived in California and then moved to North Carolina to be closer to family. She got her start in research administration at NC State in 2018, first with BME, and then transitioned to MAE starting in the summer of 2021. As one of MAE’s three Contracts & Grants Managers, Savanah assists MAE faculty with the life cycle of sponsored projects, from proposal submissions to award management to closeouts and final reporting.

She loves to bake, try new restaurants with her husband Zach, and chase their tiny dog named Fish around the house.
