Continuing with our Women’s History Month celebration of the awesome ladies at MAE, next up is Senior Contract and Grants Manager Elizabeth Walker!
Elizabeth joined MAE in 2015 and has enjoyed being a part of such a growing and distinguished department. Elizabeth works with faculty on both the pre and post award side of their research grants. She works with them on a daily basis approving and reviewing all charges such as: supplies, travel, salary, equipment, etc. Elizabeth really enjoys working in contracts and grants and feels honored to work with such a highly recognized department and group of faculty and staff in MAE.
Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys growing flowers and vegetables with her Husband Jon in their garden and tending to their honeybees. Elizabeth also enjoys dancing, running and spending time with her sheepadoodle puppy, Skeeter. Shortly out of College Elizabeth won the title of Miss Garner in 2014 and represented the town of Garner at the Miss NC Pageant.
