Women’s History Month at MAE: Dr. Anna Howard

Continuing with our Women’s History Month celebration of the awesome ladies at MAE, next up is Dr. Anna Howard!

Dr. Howard is a teaching professor at MAE, she focuses on engineering education and centers her research on using technology to increase learning in large-enrollment introductory classes. She promotes learning through technology and through one’s community to help train the engineers of the future. She is instrumental in the instruction and engineering education of our students!

Dr. Howard has not missed a Grassroots music festival at Shakori Hills since Fall 2013, She is certified to sail boats up to 30 ft long, though she mostly crews for other skippers. She studied piano for 12 years and violin for 9 years in her youth, and she is currently serving as Senior Warden at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
