Change Institutional Affiliation

Did you come from another university and already have Google Scholar setup? If so, you probably need to change the affiliation to NC State University.

  • Access your Google Scholar Profile:
    • Go to Google Scholar and sign in with your Google account. Then, click on “My Profile” in the top left corner. 
    • Enter Edit Mode: Click the pencil icon next to the “Affiliations” section.
  • Update or Remove Affiliation:
    • To remove your previous affiliation, click the trash can icon. 
    • To add a new affiliation, click the “+” icon and enter the details of your current institution. 
  • Set Primary Affiliation: If you have multiple affiliations, you can choose which one is your primary affiliation by clicking the “Make this my primary affiliation” option under the desired affiliation. 
  • Save Changes: Be sure to save any changes you make. 
  • Verify your Email: If your new affiliation requires a verification email, you may need to update your email address and verify it, according to stack exchange posts.
