Ultrasonic pallet/cell release

Separation of selected cells from a mixed population is an important process in biomedical research. We demonstrated that adherent live cells attached on an array of microelements, termed micropallets, can be safely and rapidly released from the glass substrate using a focused ultrasound wave, with a cell viability of 95% .
