Novel Piezoelectric Actuators/Transducers
Piezoelectric structures are used in a variety of applications such as actuation and energy harvesting. Our work involves the investigation of novel actuator and energy harvester configurations to meet design requirements. Through intelligent use of the mechanical and material properties of the piezoelectric and passive materials, we have developed novel structural configurations to maximize desirable specifications in these transducers.
