Summer Camp

What is this camp about?

This program offers students the opportunity to learn about
aeronautics, mechanical systems and electronic controls. Students will
have the opportunity to build and fly a remote control plane, construct
and test structures, launch a model rocket and much more. Other
activities will include a field trip to a local area airport to see how
full aircraft work. Classroom work will include the basics of flight
and the understanding of structures and what makes an aircraft move.
Hands-on activities in the wind tunnel and building labs will reinforce
concepts introduced during lectures. Experiences during the week will
expose participants to the basic principles of mechanical and aerospace
engineering.
